Make your money last longer – find best places in the world to retire. If you want to make your money last longer in retirement then you need a credible website to start your search for your ideal haven.
It is relatively easy to find out what you need to know about any topic thanks to the internet. We can look up how to spell words, how to pronounce words, find the location of a city anywhere in the world.
Never been to Mexico, no problem we can google away and find which countries border Mexico, see the location of the beaches, the major cities, the highlands and any large lakes. There is a lot of information and that is the problem with the internet. I sometimes get bogged down sifting through the mountains of information trying to work out if it is credible information.
You need to check your facts. Many posts out there have no truth as their basis but because it is in print we take it as gospel. We can innocently share a post that turns out to be false. I have been guilty of this. I have shared a post about someone famous dying and have had an internet friend tell to check my facts. How embarrassing and I had to quickly go back and delete the post. It is quite a simple task to check facts. It just takes a little bit of time.
How do we know if we have found a credible website that is providing information about a topic that is of interest? You need to establish if the source, including website, is reliable especially if making a decision, financial or life changing.
You need information from unbiased experts consider:
Who’s providing the information and are they experts?
Is the information provided accurate and comprehensive?
Is the article dated?
How often is the site updated?
Today’s guest on episode 45 is Chuck Bolotin and he has a background in economics so he’s used to looking at numbers and he was interested in finding a better place to live for less money and started to look for websites for information about places to retire overseas.
He was unhappy with the results he was getting, so he decided to create a web site, a platform, where people could come and get credible information about living overseas before he actually went overseas himself.
