Information on AIA website:
I am now investing in growth companies with good fundamentals and good prospects for growth. A lot of retirees, especially older retirees invest in large companies that pay good dividends for retirement income. There is always risk with any investment and the investment risk of older companies is that their share price could loose value over time. This then dimishes the size of your capital base.
I also take more notice of the percentage return an investment will bring. If that will be higher than the inflation rate because over time the buying power of our money deteriorates and a dollar will buy less and less.
