Barbara Nielsen is 70 and still working part-time. Barbara realised the importance of keeping your mind active in retirement. With this in mind Barbara joined Toastmasters International to improve her speaking skills and gain leadership experience.
What do you need to tick off before you retire? Barbara has been travelling while she is still working. This way she gets to go on some special trips like the recent holiday in Iceland while allowing trips to attend the Toastmasters International annual conference. Keeping working has allowed Barbara the luxury of a few extra holidays.
Barbara realised the importance of keeping your mind active in retirement and has taken on district leadership positions with the view of becoming the District 69 Director of Toastmasters International within 2 years. This will certainly keep her busy in retirement. There is no slowing this 70 year old down.
