Learn how to create healthy money habits in young people. Tynah Matembe is on a mission to show how to avoid credit card debt with a Money Matix crowdfunding campaign for the app called KusaKash. Through working with the migrant community in the UK a need was seen how to help people transition from a cash society to one that relies on credit cards.

Based in Edinburgh MoneyMatix is a family oriented company that will support you and your loved ones to achieve your financial goals. It has been started by families for families because besides death, dealing with money is the most unavoidable aspect of life. Your family and friends are the first places that you seek financial guidance. MoneyMatiX equips them to role model good financial habits by bringing the conversation of money back into the living room.
It can be challenging for migrant families to transition from livng in a cash only society to one that is based on credit cards. There are inherent dangers as credit cards can be seen to be free money. Tynah says ‘credit cards have to be planned for’ and that is why KuzaLearn has been successful by delivering financial capability workshops in schools, and community groups. These workshops equip young people with money management skills.
MoneyMatiX is a reputable RBS Accelerator-based Fintech company that is developing KuzaKash, a family financial goal setting app. Kuza means to grow, to nurture or to blossom. The MoneyMatiX founders are passionate about equipping the future generation with healthy money management skills.
KuzaKash is an easy to use financial goal-setting tool that brings parents and children together to talk and learn about money. The parents become financial role models while the children learn the true value of money.
KuzaKash will help adults and young people:-
- get your finances in order & maximise your income,
- capture dreams that one day can become a reality
