Whether it is a once in a life time adventure or we are just getting to that stage in our lives when we are more cashed up. We can enjoy a few more frills. The over 50’s are leaning towards some comfort including luxury holidays.
Cruising has seen a huge increase in favoured methods of holidaying. Cruising gives the holiday maker that much needed rest with the convenience of having to unpack once. More and more travellers are turning to cruising with the number of options in river and ocean cruising increasing across the board.
To get the latest on where you can travel to I turned to Leanne Willmot, the Sales Development manager for Queensland with Scenic, the Australian owned luxury specialist tour and Cruise Company.
Travel is the big ticket item on most retirees must do lists. According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics Australians love travelling with 9.8 million of us departing for overseas destinations last year on a short stay.

- United States of America
- Britain.
Baby Boomers are already the most travelled generation in history. We are young at heart, are active, we enjoy learning and like adventures.
Scenic have been taking seniors on tours for 31 years and have gone from strength to strength. Starting out with coach tours on the Great Ocean Road in Victoria and now operating all around the world.
